 NXNE is like SXSW only it is in Canada... a big industry wankfest with over 400 invited bands... EES went to play their favourite Toronto club The Bovine Sex Club. It seems they have report cards like school!! and guess who came out on top? One of only two bands scoring a perfect 100.
"One of my companions summed up the entire room's sentiments as EES finished their set: "This band has raised the bar for NXNE, and for the next few NXNEs to come." Insanely wild and absolutely flawless."
"You know that friend you have who'll come up to you and babble, "Dude, I just saw the most awesome fucking band of all time?" Well unless that friend saw Electric Eel Shock at the Bovine on Thursday night he is a damn liar!
"If music is truly the international language, then EES are without a doubt fluent in rock n' roll."

 Electric Eel Shock have a great relationship with the Melkweg in Amsterdam having played a number of great shows there with bands like Danko Jones, The Bloodhound Gang, Mondo Generator and on their own. It was amazing to be awarded the band of the year by a venue they enjoy playing so muchj.
Their last gig there was also filmed for the upcoming Sex, Drugs and Email documentary.

 In Australia recently Gian got to play the Mapex Orion and it just sounded amazing so when we got back to the UK we rang Pete at Mapex and got them to send one around - Cheers to Mapex for your continued support.
For any drummers going to the Drumer Live event at the Excel centre end of September then Gian will be appearing on the Mapex stand. Let us know if you are going to be there.
