SOUNDS ALBUMS Slayers Bay Blues (2000)

Slayers Bay Blues (2000)

Written by Administrator

Slayers Bay Blues was recorded by Electric Eel Shock on their own Eight track recorder in Tokyo and New York at various times in 1999. The extreme distortion is a reaction to the too clean recording on 'Maybe We Can Beat Nirvana'

This album demonstrates a band completely experimenting - a mass of influences can be heard in the embryonic EES. Some tracks were the result of complete spontineity such as Orange Is Back which was a reaction to someone returning Aki's Orange Amp during one recording session. And some tracks, such as the Jazz tinged Heavy Metal Vagabond, were only ever played when they were recorded.

Slayers Bay Blues is considered unlistenable by some and their favourite album in the world by others! You decide!
